I'm an author, consultant, speaker, coach and the director of Yellowrattle Collective.
Most of my work comes back to a single question: why do organisations — and the people within them — so rarely become what they're capable of? A military background, innovation consulting, and training as a psychoanalytic therapist have given me an unusually wide angle on that question — from the pressure of decisions made under fire, to the boardroom, to the consulting room. I founded Yellowrattle Collective to work at the intersection of all three: clinically informed, commercially grounded, and increasingly focused on what AI demands of the leaders who must work alongside it.
My book draws on military experience and psychoanalytic training to examine what leaders must protect as technology accelerates — the human capacity to feel, think, and choose in the moments that most demand it. I also work with organisations on data and innovation strategy, helping them turn fragmented systems into something they can genuinely act on. The instinct running through all of it is the same: to disrupt what's dominant so that something more varied, and more useful, can emerge. Yellow Rattle is a semi-parasitic wildflower. It weakens the grasses that crowd everything else out — and in doing so, makes space for a whole meadow to grow.
